Infusion Class Sign Up Sheet
  • Infusion Class Sign Up Sheet

    NEHA Family Camp 2024
  • This form is intended to collect the names of people who plan to attend Family Infusion or Adult Infusion class during Family Camp. Please read each section carefully and pay special attention to timing and descriptions of classes before you and/or your family sign up.

Patients who have the potential to infuse are encouraged to participate; not all camp attendees are eligable for infusion class. Infusion is for those whom there is a home infusion option available for their bleeding disorder. If you're not sure if this applies to you, please clarify with your treatment providers.

There is NO LIMIT to the amount of infusion classes you can attend at camp. Camp Medical Staff may be also be available on an as needed basis to schedule additional training. This can be discussed with Medical Staff on-site if applicable.

  • Option 1: Wednesday Family Infusion Class

Family Infusion Class is open for adults and children to learn infusion skills together. There are options to learn to self infuse on actual veins within the family as well as practice on artificial veins. Family Infusion Class is intended for families who have had exposure to infusions in the past. Although exceptions can be made, if you need more dedicated time to learn about infusions, Adult Infusion Class may be a better fit.

    TIME: Wednesday 3:30-4:30 PM

Please keep in mind arrival for families is from 1:00-3:30 PM on Wednesday. You should only sign up for this class if you expect to arrive early enough to attend.

  • OPTION 2: Thursday Adult Infusion Class

Adult Infusion Class takes place while children are participating in activity rotations with their counselors. This gives adults the time to focus on infusion skills without children. Adult Infusion Class is the best time to attend an infusion skills class if you are new to learning. Adults with prior experience are also welcome to attend to enhance their skills and offer support to other adults. There are options to learn to self infuse on actual veins as well as practice on artificial veins.

Before signing up, please review the following guidelines set by our Family Camp Medical Team:

    1) Attendees can’t stick someone who is not a family member, even if a friend grants permission.
    2) Attendees can stick themselves or their significant other.
    3) If you want to practice/learn to stick your child, please set-up a time with our Camp Medical Team for an individual appointment.

    TIME: Thursday 3:15-4:15 PM

  • Option 3: Thursday Family Infusion Class

Family Infusion Class is open for adults and children to learn infusion skills together. There are options to learn to self infuse on actual veins within the family as well as practice on artificial veins. Family Infusion Class is intended for families who have had exposure to infusions in the past. Although exceptions can be made, if you need more dedicated time to learn about infusions, Adult Infusion Class may be a better fit.

    TIME: Thursday 4:30-5:45 PM

This class happens during Family Choice Time at Camp. Family Choice Time is a block of the day on Thursday when families get to choose their own adventure for programming and participate together. Some options may include family archery, family woodshop, etc. Families sign up for an activity once you arrive at camp. Families may have time to engage in both Famiy Infusion Class and another activity, but should be sure to prioritize attending this class above other activities if you choose to sign up for it.
