Official Towing Capacity (GCWR)*
The automobile manufacturer will determine the Gross Combined Weight Rating (GCWR) of the vehicle. The towing capacity of the vehicle should equal or exceed the total weight of the driver, all passengers, vehicle cargo, the cargo trailer, and trailer cargo.

The hitch system rating is the lowest individual rating among the three components of the hitch system: hitch, hitch ball, and ball mount. The rating must equal or exceed 3000 lbs. (1361 kgs).
