Painting Herons in Flight
As we paint this majestic bird lifting off we will start with a loose wet-into-wet technique for the heron, focusing on capturing its elegant shape with fluid brushstrokes—keeping the body light and airy, allowing the white of the paper to shine through for highlights. Herons have a wonderful balance of softness and sharp details, so let the watercolor do some of the work while guiding it with confident strokes.

We will touch on drawing perspective for our cabin and how to create a reflection in water.
