    • What are donations used for?

      The Friends of the Palmer Public Library, Inc are currently raising funds to furnish the new Palmer Public Library. Donations will be directed to this project for the forseeable future.

      Typically, the Friends supplement the library's operating budget by raising funds for library community programs, such as storytime, summer reading program, book club, etc. 

      Please note: Book purchases for memorials are paused until the library moves into the new building, due to current space restrictions.

      Recognition: The City of Palmer has established Donation Tiers to recognize your generous donation to the building project, whether you choose to donate through Friends or the city.

      Credit or debit card donations use this form. Up to 3% of your donation will be used to pay credit card processing fees, with the remainder supporting the library.

    • Donations of $100.00 or more are eligible for a custom book plate. Choose specific categories below for the types of materials you would like your donation to purchase. The Palmer Public Library will choose materials as close to your wishes as possible, within their Collection Development guidelines, but there is no guarantee specific titles or formats will be available. A librarian will be in contact to create your custom bookplate.

    • Donate on behalf of yourself, a business, an organization, "In Memory of", or "In Honor of" someone special. Memorial and Honor plaques are one thousand dollars ($1,000.00) each, and grant lifetime membership to the Friends of the Palmer Public Library, Inc. Plaques will be displayed in the new library building.

    • All donations receive a thank you card. In addition, would you like a notice of your donation sent to someone else? Usually done in honor of a celebration, or as a memorial.

    • Membership in the Friends of the Palmer Public Library, Inc opens the door to voting on Friends business, newsletters, early bird access to select book sales, and other tokens of appreciation. 

      Lifetime memberships will receive a customized plaque in the new library building to comemmorate your generous memorial gift.
