Want to know more about the booking process?

here's how it'll go:

1. You read through all the things and fill out the form!
2. For custom requests: Harlowe sorts through the custom submissions and chooses the ones Harlowe is interested in
   
3. soraya omid cuervo (Harlowe's assistant) reaches out, within a couple a weeks after books close, to let the client know whether we will or will not be moving forward with the proposal
   
4. If it's a yes: soraya omid will send a the link to schedule the consultation at Red Clover Tattoo. (virtual consultations can be accommodated on a case by case basis)
   If it's a no: it's either because the proposal is one that is not in Harlowe's scope of work or we simply got too many submisions, if/when the latter is the case we'd love it if the client tries again during the next round of bookings
5. once everyone is on the same page, and it's time to schedule the appointment, soraya omid will send an invoice for the $100 non refundable deposit to get the ball rolling to book the tattoo
6. You will receive a confirmation email with some helpful information usually about a week prior to the appointment
7. You arrive to your appointment on time (not early and not late please) and Harlowe shows you the design for the first time!
8. If needed, together you will make edits and changes to the design
   
9. Once you're happy the design, Harlowe tattoos it!

Building Accessibility info:

• All doors have accessible push buttons for those with mobility aids.
• There are no steps to access any building doors.
• There are two sets of bathrooms that are shared with the entire building. Each of the 4 bathrooms has an ADA-accessible stall. While bathrooms have gendered labels (part of building code), both Red Clover and the building staff encourage everyone to use whichever bathroom is preferred. The doors into the bathrooms are not automatic and require you to push to enter. Red Clover still will have a stock of menstrual products in the shop for those who need them, just ask or look for the small cart by the door where we stock them!

Studio accessibility info:

• Red Clover's studio space has a double set of doors, with the door on the right side having a handle that pulls inward into the studio. The left side door has no handle but can be opened for easier entry into the space.
• There are no steps into the space or inside the shop as well

Sensory stimulation accessibility info:

• smell: some artists in the shop will burn incense, sage, and other plants as a part of their practices. If you have allergies or scent sensitives let us know so we can make the appropriate space accommodations for you.
• lights: they're everywhere so a pair of sunglasses or an eye mask could be helpful
• temperature: it can vary but Red Clover has blankets available in case you get cold
• sound: music is often playing so bring earplugs/headphones if you think you'll need them or feel free to ask if the music can be changed/lowered 

Clients are encouraged to bring anything they may need for the appointment. This can be snacks, pillows, blankets, medical/mobility/accessibility aids, headphones, etc.

Here are somethings the shop has available for all clients:

• a large selection of fidget toys
• vending machine in building
• room dividers for extra privacy
• blankets and pillows
• all massage tables (used for tattooing) have a 1500 lb weight limit
• books/reading material
• free guest wifi
• water (tap)

Harlowe views tattooing as an intimate, consensual, trauma-informed practice that centers collaboration and the client's experience. Let us know how we can make the experience more comfortable for you!

Custom rates:

• Harlowe will be doing all custom tattoos for this booking period on a sliding scale of $175-250 per hour
• A $100 non-refundable deposit is required to book the appointment. This amount will be deducted off the final cost of your tattoo.

BIPOC only:

• We have two 3 hour spots set aside per month for free tattoos for BIPOC clients.
• If you don’t want a free BIPOC slot but can’t afford my usual rates let us know and we can offer a lower rate sliding scale.
  
• Free BIPOC tattoo clients do not need to provide a deposit.

*** Color tests are free for melanated folks and those with allergies. ***

Deposit:

• The $100 deposit is non-refundable and it will come off the total cost of the tattoo. soraya omid will send an invoice via square to pay the $100 deposit before scheduling the appointment.

Rescheduling:

1. If you reschedule with more than 48 hours notice the deposit will roll over to the next appointment so long as you haven't rescheduled more than two times.
   
2. If you reschedule more than two times or with less than 48 hours notice of the appointment a second deposit will be required to reschedule. For free BIPOC tattoos you will also have to put down a deposit to reschedule but the $100 will be refunded to you after your appointment.
   
3. For any clients who reschedule: you will go at the bottom of the list of clients who are waiting to get scheduled and there is often a list of folks waiting for the free BIPOC tattoos.

Cancellations:

1. If you "no-call, no-show" Harlowe for your appointment, you will not be able to book an appointment with Harlowe in the future.
   
2. If you cancel the appointment you forfeit the $100 deposit as it is non-refundable.
   

COVID policies:

1. Clients are required to take a rapid test within 24 hours of the appointment,  and either email a photo, bring in the test or show a photo to the artist.
2. Masks are required in the shop space.
3. Bring a mask with you if at all possible, though we will have a minimal stash of masks available.
4. Clients may bring ONE additional guest to the appointment.
5. DO NOT come to an appointment if you have COVID, have been exposed to COVID, or are sick in ANY capacity.

If your idea isn’t on Harlowe's list of interests, you’re still welcome to submit a custom form because you just may spark Harlowe's interest anyways! They're always open to hearing ideas!
