RANCH CUTTING
In the ranch cutting you will be scored on your ability to cut one cow from a herd with minimal disturbance. You will be required to cut out 2 cows within the 2 minute time frame. You may finish your run before 2 minutes is up as long as you have cut out the 2 required cows.
8:30am start. Solo event. Each rider makes 1 run. Each run lasts 2 minutes.

RANCH SORTING
As always there will be 10 numbered cattle in a pen which you must bring out in numerical order. This ranch sorting will be judged, not timed, although you will have a cap of 3 minutes to complete your run. Within your team, each rider will get an individual score based on cow control, horsemanship, degree of difficulty, cow sense and eye appeal. Your team score will be the combined total of your individual scores. You will receive penalties for any cows not sorted at the end of your run.
10:30am start. Teams of 2. Each team makes 1 run. 4 minute time cap.

DUMMY ROPING
The roping dummy will be pulled behind the quad bike in the arena where you will be required to ride alongside and throw a rope at the dummy around the neck, once caught you should stop your horse so the breakaway opens. The GaG class will be at a walk, Non-Pro at a trot and Open at a lope. You will be scored on your horse's ability to reach a favourable roping position and rate the dummy. There will be a penalty if you fail to catch the dummy after 2 attemps but your score will still be valid. Breakaway ropes will be provided.
12 noon start. Solo event. Each rider makes 1 run. The run is capped at 2 attempts to rope the dummy.

RANCH TRAIL
We have set up a ranch trail course in the field next to the arena. This will include obstacles such as gates, logs, hills and bridges. Trail patterns will be issued prior to the event.
2pm start. Solo event. Each rider makes 1 run. Time cap 4 minutes.

TEAM PENNING
Team penning requires a team of 3 riders to separate 3 numbered cows from a herd of 30 and corall them in a small pen at the other side of the arena. This Team Penning will be judged, not timed, although you will have a cap of 4 minutes to complete your run. Within your team, each rider will get an individual score based on cow control, horesemanship, degree of dificulty, cow sense and eye appeal. Your team score will be the combined total of your individual scores. You will receive penalties for any cows not penned at the end of your run.
4pm start. Teams of 3. Each team makes 1 run. 5 minute time cap.
