  • Try-a-Tri - Sat 16th May at 7:30am

PASC are delighted to host our ever popular Try-a-Tri event at South Lake Leisure Centre this Sat morning at 7:30am, and we are extending the invitation to siblings of PASC members and swimmers from neighbouring clubs aged 8-18. This is an introduction to Triathlon/Aquathlon in the familiar environment of a pool for the swim. This year we have electronic chip timing and all participants will receive a medal 🥇 and refreshments afterwards - but you need to register below by 5pm on Thur 14th May 2026⏰! Spaces are limited to 100 participants total, when we're full we're full💯!
  • What does the event consist of?

For swimmers born 2016 and older (or younger) and able to swim 250m Frontcrawl the event is as follows: 250m pool swim (10 lengths) / 5km cycle / 1.5km run. For swimmers not able to swim the 250m distance but who are capable of swimming 50m, the event is as follows: 50m pool swim (2 lengths) / 1.5km run. The event costs £10 to enter and all PASC participants and their siblings will be charged through the SportsEngine app. For swimmers from other clubs we will send BACS details upon receipt of your Jotform entry and once payment has been made this will secure your place. The aim of the event is participation and preparing participants to be familiar with the disciplines in a Triathlon / Aquathlon, such as the Triathlon Ireland Junior Triathlon event to be held at South Lake Leisure Centre in Aug 2026. Participants for the triathlon need to bring their own bike and helmets which are compulsory. Participants should arrive at South Lake Leisure Centre at 7:00am on Sat morning for safety briefing. Further information will be sent on Fri 15th May at midday once all entries have been processed.
