Entertainer Rules & Regulations
1. The Entertainer agrees to all print, digital, and radio marketing the City of Carrollton deems appropriate to advertise the event where the Entertainer is scheduled to perform. If the Entertainer desires to approve marketing content before distribution to the public, written notice must be given within ten days of the execution of this contract.
2. Unless otherwise arranged with a City designee, the Entertainer is responsible for all sound and other equipment required for the performance.
The Entertainer must be set up and ready to perform at least 30 minutes before the event time. The City designee will communicate the specific set up time.
3. The City of Carrollton will negotiate a deposit to secure the Entertainer’s performance however that deposit shall not exceed 50% of the total booking price. The remainder of the fee will be paid on the day of performance. In the event the Entertainer fails to appear for a scheduled event, the Entertainer must refund all deposits to the City of Carrollton within two weeks of the event, along with any fees associated with the City’s event advertising costs.
4. The City of Carrollton reserves the right to change the location of the performance to another venue up to 4 hours prior to the scheduled event.
5. The City of Carrollton reserves the right to postpone an event to a future time/date in case of any reason they have deemed necessary up to 4 hours prior to the scheduled event. In the event of postponement, the Entertainer agrees to reschedule to a mutually agreed upon date. The rescheduled date will be no later than one year from the original date. In the event of postponement, final payment will be made the day of the actual performance and no additional deposit will be made.
6. The City of Carrollton reserves the right to cancel an event up to two weeks prior to the event date for any reason they deem necessary. In the event the City cancels two weeks prior, the deposit will be forfeited to the Entertainer and no further payment will be made to the Entertainer.
7. If an Entertainer arrives late without prior approval, the City designee reserves the right to cancel the performance where the performance is no longer feasible. If the performance is canceled, deposit is to be refunded to the City within two weeks of the event.
8. The City of Carrollton is committed to providing family friendly entertainment to residents and visitors therefore, all performances must maintain the integrity of that commitment. Performances that include foul language or inappropriate gestures are not permitted.
