  • APAP recognizes the importance of leading with a people-first, relationship-based approach in our practice and in our spaces. We are committed to creating spaces where people are able to exist as their full selves and are able to successfully engage in all of our programs, activities, and gatherings. At the APAP|NYC 2025 APAP will provide the following:

    • On-site accessibility team available during all conference hours  
    • Accessible signage throughout the conference  
    • Fully accessible on-site spaces for wheelchair users and others with mobility needs, including reserved seating
    • Access to water in every on-site room
    • Stimulus free quiet spaces, open and available each day from 9:00 a.m. until midnight for all attendees
    • Chair-accessible and companion restrooms
    • Open captioning for all primary sessions, including mobile captioning options on your personal devices 
    • ASL for primary sessions, and ASL for smaller rooms, affinity spaces, and concourse level spaces upon request
    • Lactation & nursing pods  
    • Accessibility coordination with producers for off-site showcases  
    • Individualized assistance and coordination upon request  

    For accessibility needs or concerns regard Hilton hotel accommodations or room requests, attendees should contact the Hilton property directly.

  • If you indicated you need a Companion above, please fill out the below questions. 

     

    A companion is a person registered for conference who is not there to partake in professional development, buying, selling, performing, or other conference activities besides assisting a registered attendee with their conference experience - examples may include: A person to help you with mobility needs, provide sign language interpretation, etc. 

  • Please indicate you understand and agree to the following as it pertains to needing a companion at the conference: 

    • Provided the most up-to-date contact information for your companion
    • Your companion is not a member of APAP or the performing arts field. 
    • Your companion is solely attending the APAP|NYC 2025 conference for the expressed purpose of providing necessary support to help you, a paid conference attendee, with your conference experience. 
    • If APAP becomes aware that your companion is actively engaging in professional development, buying, selling, performing, or other non-companion duties as related to conference, APAP will ask you and your companion to become full, paid conference registrants or to leave the conference.
