Job Title: Product Tech
Reports to: Standard Director
Location: Port Townsend, Washington
Job Summary
This role keeps Camp N Car's products moving, from parts coming off the CNC machine to finished kits packed, labeled, and out the door. You'll handle basic CNC operations, process and pack kit components, and prepare shipments, with a hand in custom builds when needed. You'll also help keep the shop and office clean, restock supplies, and run trash and recycling to the dump in the company van. Accurately tracking your time, expenses, and tasks is a key part of the job.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate the CNC machine at a basic level and process fabricated parts as they come off the machine, keeping a steady flow of components moving toward fulfillment.
- Handle the heart of our kit fulfillment: process kit parts, pack components, and prepare orders for shipment.
- Perform routine maintenance on the CNC machine and related equipment.
- Pitch in on custom builds with basic labor and carpentry as needed.
- Maintain shop and office cleanliness through a range of janitorial duties such as sweeping, wiping down surfaces, moving scrap wood, and cleaning restrooms.
- Keep essential supplies stocked and organized: fasteners, hardware, cleaning supplies, and more.
- Handle dump runs in the company van and manage all trash and recycling sorting and removal.
- Accurately track hours, expenses, and details across all areas of responsibility.
Requirements
At its core, this is a fulfillment role. Our kit business depends on a consistent flow of parts coming off the CNC machine (processed, packed, and ready to ship) and you're the one keeping that pipeline moving.
A strong work ethic, attention to detail, and a commitment to cleanliness and consistency matter most here. Basic experience with CNC machinery is highly desirable, and professional experience in carpentry or van conversion work is a plus.
At Camp N Car, clear and respectful communication is essential. We value growth, learning from mistakes, and taking pride in our craft. Candidates must be able to reliably commute to our shop in Port Townsend, Washington.
