Vendor Rules and Regulations
- Texas Sales and Use Tax Permit are required by anyone wishing to vend the event, and vendors are responsible for reporting their own earnings to the State as required by law.
- If you are a direct sales vendor, in place of the Texas Sales and Use Tax Permit you must supply a certification stating you are an independent sales representative of a direct sales organization that is required to collect sales tax from the independent distributors.
- All vendors must pay a refundable deposit, depending on event. Deposit will be garnished if vendor cancels at any point after being accepting as a vendor, any waste is left behind, event site is damaged, booth is not set up on time, booth is torn-down and/or closes prior to the event ending or vendor category is misrepresented based on the product that is sold.
- Vendor fee will be garnished is vendor cancels within one week of the event or day of the event, along with their deposit.
- All vendors must be open and ready to go 30 minutes prior to the event. Vendor deposit will be garnished if vendor is not set up on time.
- Vendor space will not be confirmed until full payment is received. Vendor shall not sublet, assign, or otherwise transfer booth space.
- The City of Carrollton has and reserves the right to cancel any vendor booth and all matters pertaining to vendor in connection with or related to the event any time prior to the event date with a full or partial refund to the vendor as determined by the City.
- All vendors must abide by all City/State Health and Fire Codes. All materials draped from the booth/tent space must meet fire codes and other public safety laws codes, rules standards, and regulations.
- All food must be prepared on site or in a commercial kitchen inspected by a regulatory official unless exempt as a Texas Cottage Food Vendor booths will be reviewed/inspected before being allowed to open.
- In the event of the cancelation of an event, booth fees will be refunded. Please check the specific event's rain or shine policy.
- All vendors must comply with the direction of all City of Carrollton employees.
The following items are not permitted:
- Vendor may not dump any waste or liquids on the ground.
- The use of any candles, lamps, lanterns, or anything with an open flame (unless used for cooking in approved food booth) is prohibited.
- No flashing lights, music, bullhorns, or hawking to the crowd.
- No fireworks of any kind.
- Vendor understands and recognizes that the Event is for entertainment purposes only, is not a religious or political event and is not an event that promotes or suggests any religious or political agenda.
- Sale of tobacco products, weapons, or drug paraphernalia is strictly prohibited.
Any of the above mentioned infractions will result in immediate removal of booth with no refund.
