THE BIG IDEA:
We will meet at the Easthampton Mill Building parking lot at 11 AM. We'll ride 5 paved miles through Easthampton, ringing our bells and waving our pride flags! We'll end the ride at Mt. Tom's Homemade Ice Cream for some treats:).
Everyone is welcome to join us- riders on adaptive cycles, tricycles, e-bikes, families, cargo bikes, and more! This ride was designed with you in mind! We welcome riders of all genders, races, sexual orientations. This ride is a celebration of queer and deviant bodies taking up space and finding JOYFUL movement together <3
MEET UP LOCATION:
Easthampton Mill Building - free parking! And right on the bike path.
SCHEDULE:
Pre-ride talk starts at 11 AM (please be there and ready to roll by 11!)
Ride out at 11:15 AM
End at Mt. Tom's Homemade Ice Cream around 12:30 PM
(this is a rough idea of the schedule, things may be slightly different depending on the pace of the group!)
ROUTE:
Click here to see the route.
The ride is 4.7 miles through Easthampton on paved roads. There are a couple of hills, but the route is mostly flat. We will ride for a couple short sections on slightly busier roads, otherwise the route sticks to quiet streets.
We will ride at an average pace of 5-7 mph, and won't leave anyone behind.
The route ends at Mt. Toms Homemade Ice Cream, which is 1 mile from the route start, almost all on the bike path. Anyone who wants company for the ride back to the mill building is welcome to hang out at the ice ceam stop until the ride leaders are ready to roll out!
ACCESSIBILITY:
All are welcome to join us! We will stop frequently for breaks and have several bathroom stops. This event will be fully outside, and masks are not required, but are welcome. We will have volunteers available to help share any information. If you have any specific accessibility needs, please reach out!
KIDS:
These rides are open to anyone! Bring yourself, your family, your friends. If you are bringing small children, we ask that they tag along in a child seat or trailer if they aren't able to handle the distance by themselves.
WHICH WHEELS TO BRING?
The route is all on paved roads, so any bike or trike you have will do great! It just needs to be in good condition and ready to ride!
HELMETS ARE REQUIRED!
