Why join The BIG Plant Expo hosted by South East Rare Plant Market, LLP?

The journey of South East Rare Plant Market, LLP and idea of The BIG Plant Expo commenced in Charleston, South Carolina in 2020 at a humble plant swap event with local plant enthusiasts who saw it could be more. The swap transformed into a flourishing plant market featuring over 20 dedicated plant vendors and businesses with event space provided by local breweries.

By the start of 2023, the market had expanded to additional South Carolina cities, Lexington and Myrtle Beach, with the primary objective of fostering a passion for plants by highlighting local plant growers and artisians who's work related to the plant world. The community continued to grow online through Facebook where the group, vendors and customers, actively engaged between markets to keep up with each other and the new plants that had been purchased.

In the fall of 2024, SE Rare Plant Market, LLP is set to host the first plant market in Greenville, SC. With four cities hosting markets and the success of The BIG Plant Expo 2024, SE Rare Plant Market, LLP aspires to host the best markets and annual expo in the state.

The BIG Plant Expo Highlights:

The expo offers a plant extravaganza by uniting local and national vendors, national plant experts and consumers under one roof for an entire weekend. By collaborating with renown plant sellers from California, Ohio, Texas, Florida, North Carolina, and Maryland, the expo strives to be the ultimate plant exhibition in South Carolina. Together, local and national sellers, draw in attendees from around SC and neighboring states which boosts brand visibility and sales. The BIG Plant Expo acts as a platform to celebrate local and national growers and businesses in one central location.

The second annual expo is slated for July 26th and 27th, 2025, in the Cantey Building located on the SC State Fairgrounds in Columbia, SC. An exclusive evening celebration and dinner will be hosted at Rosewood Ballroom on the same grounds from 6-10PM. The BIG Plant Expo will have a schedule that includes hands on activities, insightful speakers, networking opportunities, and growth potential for all participants all while showcasing local and national vendors of the plant community.

Sponsor Guidelines

1. Set up is Friday July 25th 12-9PM. (Everyone is required to leave by 9PM) NO exceptions.

2. All sponsors must have signage to clearly display who they are (examples: signs, placecards, banners, or table cloths). Keep product and displays within your space, out of the isles and other vendor spaces.

3. Sharing sponsor booths are prohibited, unless you have prior approval by Renay.

4. All sponsors are required to be at their booth at 7:30AM for VIP shopping Saturday. VIP Shopping is from 8-10AM. The expo will open to the public at 10AM.

5. You are responsible to set up and break down your space. ALL trash and items must go with YOU. Please bring your own dollys and/or carts for set up and break down (limited dollys are provided by the venue and they will be on a first come, first serve basis). You're required to supply your own set up and supplies. Tables, chairs, and pipe and drape will be available in sponsorship packages (see below).

6. As a sponsor you agree to keep and maintain a good, professional working relationship within the SE Rare Plant Market Community and the public. 

7. Sponsor fees are non-refundable or transferable.

8. All staff woking a sponsor booth, are required to wear an expo badge. Each sponsor Point of contact must be present to collect their badges for their spot. No badges will be given out otherwise. You may purchase extra badges if you need more than your vendor package allotment. 

9. All "guests" of sponsors coming into the expo, whether doing business, family visiting, customers who have pre purchased products and are picking up, must pay admission to be admitted into the expo. 

10. Any sponsor who vacates their spot before the expo closes (Sunday July 27th at 4PM) will be charged his or her full package fee for every day that sponsor committed to fill the space. To maintain the apprearance of the show, your set ups must remain up and functioning the entirety of the expo. If an emergency arises during the event, please contact Renay immediately. DO NOT GHOST. Fee will 100% be charged if you leave with no word.

11. Being a sponsor for Southeast Rare Plant Market, LLP and The BIG Plant Expo. You are required to advertise/post about the expo on you and/or business social media accounts. Showcasing your goods in a creative, appealing way, and using your presence to promote the event. SE Rare Plant Market, LLP will promote sponsors, vendor and influencers based on packages listed below.

12. Payment is the ONLY thing that secures your sponsorship and booth space.

SE Rare Plant market, LLP and its affiliate partners reserve the right to remove you as a sponsor/vendor if you choose to not follow any of the above application guidelines.
