Intersections of art and science abound, if only you look. Whether in subject matter or process, the two disciplines document and facilitate mechanisms of change in the natural world around us. Join us at Denver Botanic Gardens September 13 – 14 to explore art, science and the space where the two come together to foster the health and wellness of the environment and humanity. Attend sessions to learn, connect and be inspired.
Working in this arena? Consider participating and sharing your perspective. Join colleagues from higher education, public gardens, museums and independent art or science practitioners to celebrate the art-science ecosystem.
The Format
Lightning talks submitted by participants will complement curated panels on topics around the central theme of Mechanisms of Change. Participants will not only have the opportunity to experience the current art exhibitions at the Gardens but will experience a look behind the curtain at how we design and build both art exhibitions and scientific studies.
Contribute
We invite you to submit a lightning talk abstract to share ideas or your work rooted in art-science connection and one of the following: climate resilience, storytelling, collaboration, or a wildcard topic. These rapid fire talks will be no more than five minutes in length, followed by three minutes of questions or discussion.
