Please complete the following volunteer application for Rusty's Legacy Dog Rescue

You must be 18 years of age or older to volunteer, or accompanied by an adult.

Dear Prospective Volunteers,

Thank you for your interest in volunteering with Rusty's Legacy. Please review our specific requirements below:

Dog Walking Requirements
If you wish to walk dogs, you must be physically able to independently harness and leash them. You must also be capable of transporting dogs off-property for walks, hikes, or car rides on your own. Our staff is not available to assist you once you have completed your orientation.

On-Property Volunteering
If you prefer to stay on-property, you must be comfortable entering dog kennels independently following your orientation. Our small staff is dedicated to cleaning and caring for the animals and cannot provide ongoing assistance.

Our Expectations
Because we are a small rescue, we rely on confident self-starters. If you are not comfortable handling these tasks independently, we may not be the right fit for your volunteer goals. Our staff must remain focused on their primary duties to ensure the well-being of our dogs.

This is an important and necessary skill as we have a very small very busy staff and they do not always have time to stop and help. Volunteer hours are Every Day starting at 9am. Dogs must be back at the rescue by 5 PM *

I understand that public relations are an important part of a Volunteer’s activities on behalf of Rusty's Legacy.
