  • DELRAY GREENMARKET

A Program of the Delray Beach Community Redevelopment Agency
  • The GreenMarket is an open-air farmers market that is operated and managed by the Delray Beach Community Redevelopment Agency. Located in downtown Delray Beach, it has been a Saturday morning destination for almost 30 years.

Started in 1996, the Winter GreenMarket (running from late October through May) has grown to over 60 of South Florida’s premier farmers, bakers, and small batch culinary artists, featuring locally grown produce, artisan baked goods, cheeses, farm fresh eggs, fresh caught seafood along with vegan, vegetarian, organic selections, and so much more. Additionally, the GreenMarket features live music, and cooking demonstrations with local chefs who shop for and showcase the freshest GreenMarket ingredients in creative dishes that can be recreated at home.

In 2015, the Summer GreenMarket (running June through July) was introduced and 2024 marks the beginning of its 10th season!

Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program and Fresh Access Bucks Program

The Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) was launched at the GreenMarket in January 2022 to help community members enjoy a better quality of life through healthy, local food options. Shortly after the launch of SNAP, the Delray Beach CRA was selected as an approved Fresh Access Bucks (FAB) Provider by Feeding Florida, which is the state’s network of food banks working to solve hunger. Through the FAB Program, additional benefits (up to $40 every GreenMarket day) are provided to SNAP recipients for the purchase of locally grown produce at participating qualified GreenMarket vendors. GreenMarket Vendors who sell SNAP and/or FAB eligible products are encourged to participate in the programs.

    Delray Beach Community Redevelopment Agency

The Delray Beach Community Redevelopment Agency (CRA) was established by the City of Delray Beach Commission on June 18, 1985, to guide the City in its redevelopment efforts. The purpose of the CRA is to revitalize the physical environment and the economy of the CRA District.  To achieve its goals and fulfill its mission, the CRAs projects and programs are designed to be mutually supportive. The GreenMarket provides an outlet for community members to learn about the CRA and its redevelopment activities. The GreenMarket is also one of the programs of the CRA that helps advance its mission as it supports more local, small businesses, of which a large number use the GreenMarket as their only in-person location to meet and sell to customers.

To learn more about the CRA, please visit delraycra.org or call 561-276-8640.
