Assessment Process
Buyout Appointment
All equipment must be assessed in-person in order to determine its value. If you are in the area, we ask that you make an appointment with us.

We always offer a portion of the market value since we are a reseller and must have a margin for resale. If you want full market value, we may not be your best option. Do consider that when you go the eBay route, they will take 13% of the sale and you have to photograph and list the item, deal with the liability of shipping and scammers/lowball offers.

With these eBay headaches in mind, many of our clients find it easier to receive a check or paypal payment from us ("Goods and Services" payment method only). The value of your equipment will be determined once we assess it in-person.

Please know that some cameras retain their value and even appreciate over time. Unfortunately, some do not retain much value. Pro Camera will give you a fair assessment. If your gear isn’t worth anything we can suggest other options for the equipment like donation to local non-profits or educational institutions.

We do consignment sales on a case-by-case basis and usually reserve this approach for large collections or very high-end/rare equipment.

I understand that from the information I have provided, Pro Camera will decide if I can ship or bring in my gear for further assessment.

I assume all liability for outbound shipments of my property (ie. from me to Pro Camera).

If Pro Camera does not receive my gear within 14 business days, Pro Camera may retract this agreement to assess my equipment for buy-out (if applicable).

Once my equipment has been received and assessed by the Pro Camera team, I will receive an offer for my equipment within 3-5 business days but most likely, during my appointment.

I will have 3-5 business days to decline or accept this offer if I have mailed in my equipment.

If Pro Camera declines purchasing my equipment, then return shipping cost is my responsibility, or I have 14 days to pick up my equipment before it becomes Pro Camera property.
