At River West Church, our aim is to partner with God in building a community of Christ for the world. One way we do this is through our Community Group Ministy. Community Groups are sermon-based small groups made up of people from River West Church, meeting regularly to grow in discipleship to Jesus, share life together, and live out the Sunday teachings.

Though each Community Group will take on it's own DNA based on it's members and location, the overall culture of the Community Group Ministry is to be deeply connected with vision and mission of River West Church - primarily through the values of (1) Discipleship, (2) Connection, and (3) Mission. Therefore, there will be flexibility that each group can have, yet this helpful structure will endorse the group's health and flourishing.

In light of this - we are so glad you want to lead / facilitate a Community Group! This ministry could not exsit without volunteers like you that are willing to cultivate community as we follow the way of our Lord, Savior, and Teacher - Jesus Christ. It's people like you that help take the rows we sit in on Sundays and turn them into circles in living rooms during the week!

Community Group Leadership

There is no prior experience needed in order to facilitate a River West Community Group. Whether this is your first time leading a group or you're a veteran - all are welcome to step in! However, what is required is a love for Christ, humble desire to see his Church flourish, and agreement in the vision + direction of River West Church.
