Sometimes the Ignite Jam system will not be optimal for your particular team's needs. We at [P1] believe in quick iteration cycles and can provide solutions within 3 days.

If something is not working properly, the worst thing you can do is share discouragement about the system with your team.

Instead, you should bring up your concerns directly with the Ignite host, as seen in Discord, using a private thread. This will allow you to see quick reform in the system and optimization toward a solution, without discouraging your team.

In general, if you have feedback about a person, process, or leader, that should be addressed privately first.

The same principle applies when it comes to dealing with problematic people. First go to that person, and then you should go to the Division leader, and then you should go to the Legion leader, and then you should go to the Ignite Host.

Skip different parts of that chain, depending on how serious you feel the issue is.

This is what most corporations call "using the proper channels."

The high watermark of any organization is the behavior it's willing to tolerate.

This means that if you see other people acting unprofessionally you should immediately deal with that to avoid a widespread change of our professional culture.

Namely, if you hear gossip, unproductive complaining or a general bad attitude, you should:

    1) Stop the conversation and refuse to listen to it

    2) Direct the individuals in question to address issues productively.

Unproductive complaining is like a cancer, and if you allow yourself to continue to listen to it, you are giving it your tacit approval and it will ruin your team's vibe.

I think it's a good idea to use the no-cursing value system to signal that we are a professional environment.
I believe, as a [P1] member, we will be better off if we put others needs about our own.
I will stop unproductive conversations, gossip and speak up in cases of problematic people.
I believe, as a [P1] member, we will be stronger together if we embody a spirit of professionalism.
I will address concerns about systems and processes with the Ignite Jam host.
I am willing and ready to volunteer to repay the work that went into onboarding me to the team.

As a [P1] member I pledge to keep our values of putting people first, stopping unproductive complaining before it spreads, to love and serve others from the bottom up and to always give feedback in private first.
