Bayanihan: Unity through our culture

Terms and Conditions
1. Eligibility: The contest is open to Filipino-Canadian youth age 12 to 16 years old on June 22, 2024. Parental consent is required for all participants.
2. Theme: Participants must create paintings that depict the theme "Bayanihan: Unity through our Culture," showcasing the spirit of cooperation, community, and solidarity within Filipino society.
3. Medium, Size and Material: Paintings must be created using only acrylic paint on a canvas no larger than 16 inches by 20 inches.
4. Registration and Submission of Art: Participants must complete this registration form and upload or email a photo of their artwork before the deadline of June 14, 2024 at 12pm. All entries must be original creations of the participant and must not infringe on any copyrights.
After submission, participants will be notified if their entry is selected as a finalist. If selected, participants are responsible for bringing their entry to the Pinoy Festival prior to 9am on June 22nd for final judging.
5. Judging and Criteria: Entries selected as finalists will be brought to the Pinoy Festival venue by 9am on June 22nd for final selection of Top 5 entries.
Criteria is based on creativity, technique, interpretation of the theme, and overall artistic merit.
6. Prizes: $200 each to the top 5 paintings, and all participants will receive certificates.
7. Ownership: Submitted paintings will remain the property of the Pinoy Festival.
8. Code of Conduct: Participants are expected to conduct themselves in a respectful manner throughout the contest. Plagiarism, cheating, or disruptive behavior will result in immediate disqualification.
9. Disqualification: Entries may be disqualified if they do not comply with the contest rules, fail to meet submission deadlines, or if there is evidence of unethical conduct.
10. Organizer's Rights: The Pinoy Festival organizers reserve the right to make changes to the contest rules or disqualify entries at their discretion.
11. Disclaimer: The Pinoy Festival organizers are not responsible for any loss, damage, or injury resulting from participation in the contest. Participants agree to hold the organizers harmless from any claims arising from their participation in the contest.
By submitting an entry, participants and parents / legal guardians commit to abiding by the terms and conditions above.
