About the Job
Maestra (maestra.ai) is a cutting-edge web-based editing platform that leverages advanced technology to provide automatic captioning, transcription, voiceover services, and translation of subtitles into over 125 languages. As a US-based startup operating remotely, we are seeking an experienced Web Developer to enhance our website functionality and drive growth for our innovative SAAS product.
Responsibilities:
- Develop, implement, and maintain our website (maestra.ai) using WordPress, JavaScript, HTML, and CSS.
- Optimize the website for maximum speed, scalability, and the most importantly SEO.
- Ensure the technical feasibility of UI/UX designs and maintain a good eye for detail to create engaging visual elements.
- Collaborate with team members to enhance user experience.
- Utilize various SEO tools (ahrefs, semrush, etc.) to manage and optimize the site's visibility in search engines.
- Analyze user interactions (HotJar) and make data-driven decisions to improve website performance.
Qualifications:
- Strong oral and written communication skills in English.
- Ability to work autonomously in a dynamic start-up environment.
- Proven experience in web development, preferably within a technology or SAAS company.
- Proficient understanding of web markup, including HTML5 and CSS3.
- Experience with WordPress site development and customization, including custom plugins and theme building.
- Experience with JavaScript.
- Familiarity with SEO practices and tools like Google Analytics to track site performance.
Bonus Points:
- Prior involvement with SAAS products.
- Demonstrable portfolio of created websites or design projects.
- Familiarity with cross-browser compatibility issues and ways to work around them.
