Beat the Heat Arena Trial

The upcoming time and points sheepdog trial features three open classes scheduled for Friday, Saturday, and Sunday, along with three nursery classes, one each day. Additionally, Friday and Sunday will host Pro-Novice and Novice-Novice classes, as well as Ranch classes. Entry fees are $55 for each open class and $50 for all other classes. Proceeds from the event will support the national finals.

 

The event is being hosted by Rebecca and Josh Gibson, with Lydia Ryan managing entries.

All entries will be confirmed via email by Lydia Ryan (lydiamarie1996@gmail.com) the Wednesday or Sunday after you enter. Any edits to entries should be submitted to her via the email above. No refunds will be issued after July 5th!

 

Five dog slots have been provided on this form. If you have more than five dogs, please fill out an additional form in its entirety. 

PLEASE NOTE: The list of classes does not determine the current order that they will be ran in or the dog running order. These will be determined and announced closer to the date of the event.

I, the undersigned, acknowledge that participation in the sheepdog trial event involves inherent risks, including but not limited to injury to myself, my dog(s), and damage or theft of property. By signing this waiver, I agree to the following terms and conditions:

1. Assumption of Risk: I voluntarily choose to participate in this event with full knowledge of the potential risks involved. I understand that working with dogs and livestock can be unpredictable and may result in injury or damage.

2. Release of Liability: I hereby release, waive, and discharge the event organizers, sponsors, property owners, and any affiliated entities, their officers, employees, and volunteers from any and all liability for any injury, loss, or damage to myself, my dog(s), or my property that may occur as a result of my participation in the event, whether caused by negligence or otherwise.

3. Indemnification: I agree to indemnify and hold harmless the parties mentioned above from any claims, demands, actions, or causes of action arising out of or in connection with my participation in the event, including but not limited to legal fees and costs.

4. Medical Treatment: I consent to receive medical treatment deemed necessary if I am injured or become ill during the event. I understand that I am responsible for all associated costs.

5. Property Damage/Theft: I acknowledge that the event organizers are not responsible for any lost, stolen, or damaged property belonging to myself or my dog(s) during the event. In addition, I understand that if I have been found to be responsible for damage to the event property that I can be held liable for the cost of repairs.

6. Rules and Regulations: I agree to abide by all event rules and regulations and to follow the instructions of event officials. I understand that failure to comply may result in my removal from the event without refund.

 

7. Sheep Insurance Waiver: By participating in this event, I understand and agree that if I or any of my dogs injure or kill a sheep, I will be responsible for a $350 fine to cover the damage to the sheep.
