Nominee Bio: Brandon Sheiner
Brandon Sheiner is a seasoned Professional Engineer with a decade of experience in commissioning, inspecting and designing mechanical, electrical, plumbing and fire protection systems. Brandon has conducted numerous NYC Local Law 87 Energy Audits and Retro-Commissioning projects which identified opportunities for performance and energy efficiencyimprovements in building systems and operations. In addition to Commissioning and Energy Engineering expertise, Brandon has successfully designed a multitude of NYC Building Systems including, but not limited to: Cogeneration Systems, HVAC Systems, Fire Protection Systems, Heating Plants, Domestic Water Systems, and Ventilation Systems. Brandon is an active member of ASHRAE, serving his local chapter ASHRAE NYC in various Board of Governors and Officer roles, and is working with ASHRAE at the society level helping to develop the study guide for ASHRAE’s Certified Decarbonization Professional (CDP) certification.

Gregori Tayco

Nominee Bio: Gregori Tayco
Gregori Tayco is an experienced engineer specializing in retro-commissioning and building automation systems. His experience with building automation systems ranges from specifications, designs, and programming, to estimation, project management, and system commissioning. His retro-commissioning experience builds upon this skill set emphasizing his abilities with control system optimization and energy efficient system operation. His other skillsets include project management for mechanical, electrical, and HVAC equipment installations, as well as technical equipment startups including, but not limited to ventilation equipment, boilers, chillers, VFDs, and gas detection systems. Client sectors served include Class A and B commercial, residential, higher education, K-12, healthcare, and others. Gregori is also an active member of ASHRAE, serving his local chapter ASHRAE NY in various roles as a Board of Governor—acting as chairs for YEA (Young Engineers in ASHRAE), Refrigeration, and Programs—and currently serving as an Officer for the NY Chapter as Treasurer. He’s also involved in ASHRAE at the society level working in the Technical Committee for Control Theory and Application (TC1.4) which is responsible for developing ASHRAE’s guidelines and standards regarding control theory.

Nominee Bio: Artorius Reyes
Artorius M. Reyes is the Regional Market Strategy Leader for Trane. He provides guidance to Area and Regional Leadership and supports the development and implementation of long-term market strategies throughout the greater northeast region. Additionally, Artorius is responsible for the evaluation of Federal, State, & local policies relevant to the HVAC & R industry, and the assessment of their impacts within the region. This includes climate policies, codes, standards, and other legislative & regulatory items. He leads a team of Business Development Executives and external consultants, aligning broader regional strategy with local market insights. Artorius joined Trane in 2009 as a Sales Engineer. He held that role for 8 years before transitioning to lead Business Development in 2017. He then held this BD role for 7 years before transitioning to lead Market Strategy in the northeast region. He holds a BS in Architectural Engineering Technology and a BSBA in Business Management from The University of Hartford.

Nominee Bio: Lukasz Semla
Lukasz is an experienced professional in the HVAC industry. After graduating from renowned universities in Warsaw, he started his career at a U.S. corporation in Poland, specializing in innovative refrigeration systems, particularly those utilizing cascade CO2 heat recovery and heat pump solutions. He later broadened his expertise internationally, moving to Germany and working with diverse HVAC companies across various markets, including Australia, the UK, and Israel. Through these roles, Lukasz gained valuable technical and sales experience. He eventually moved to New York City, where he has been involved with the distribution and implementation of Variable Refrigerant Flow technology for different brands and applications. In addition, he has been actively involved in local and international professional organizations, contributing to the movement to limit greenhouse gas emissions, promote energy-efficient solutions, and advance decarbonization and electrification processes. He has been actively involved with the development of the ASHRAE NYC chapter since 2018, taking on various roles, including serving on the Board of Governors and as YEA Chair. He has overseen the work of different committees and has been the Director of Education for the past two years.
