*Legislative Scholars will be in person at the Capitol in Olympia*
The Legislative Scholar Program provides teachers from across Washington with an opportunity to learn first hand about the state legislative process. The program equips teachers with lesson plans, resources, and ideas to more effectively teach civics in their classrooms. The Legislative Scholar Program is open to elementary, middle, and high school teachers from any school district in Washington, paraeducators, and those pursuing their teaching degree.
The Washington State Legislature is a certified clock hour provider and participants can earn 20+ clock hours. Each day will begin around 9AM and end by 4PM. A final agenda will be shared in advance of the program beginning.
Registration and all workshop materials are free of charge. Please contact Civic.Ed@leg.wa.gov with questions.
