    The new Resources for Youth Success & Empowerment (RYSE) Assessment Center in Durham County is looking to appoint two community members to its advisory board. Members of the board with provide oversight and guidance to the Center and its Diversion Program. The board will meet quarterly to discuss and evaluate the Center's goals, purpose, and implementation of services. Community members will serve a two-year term on the board. You must meet at least four of these qualifications to be a Community Member At-Large: 18 years of age and over, Parent/Caregiver utilizing/utilized of services for child (i.e. Youth Home, Mental Health, Community Based Programs, Juvenile Justice), Was involved in the following systems as juvenile: Youth Home, Juvenile Justice, Mental Health, Community-Based Programs, Able to commit to quarterly meetings and supporting the Center for two-year term, Must live in Durham County. Applications should be submitted by 5pm on June 26th, 2024. They will be reviewed, and two applicants will be chosen. The first advisory board meeting will be held on July 16th, 2024 at 6pm. Location be TBD.
