  • Head Teachers' Leadership Academy Application

Invitation to apply for a place in 2025
  • We are inviting applications to participate in Columba 1400 Head Teachers’ Leadership Academies. We have some places remaining for Cohorts taking place in 2025, and will be allocating places to ensure a representation on each cohort from Additional Support Needs, Virtual Heads, Early Years, Primary and Secondary Schools and a good geographical spread across cohorts. Priority will be given to schools in SMID 1 and 2 and with a high percentage of free school meals.

We are grateful to The Hunter Foundation for underwriting all the costs of the HTLAs, and we are asking participants to make a contribution of £500(+VAT)

This will cover full participation in each of the three phases of the Head Teachers’ Leadership Academy.

Phase One: two preparatory days – delivered online. These prepare senior leaders for the residential experience based on discussion around values-based leadership.

Phase Two: residential at the Blair Estate, Dalry – this is an opportunity to address crucial leadership questions at an individual and collective level.

Phase Three: continue to develop leadership potential and connect with others within the HTLA Scotland-wide alumni network. There will be a follow up session in person.

We will be releasing the dates for 2026 Cohorts in due course. Therefore please ensure that you are registered on this waitlist as priority for 2026 spaces will be given to those already signed up.

We look look forward to being alongside you.
