1.   ABOUT THE SCHOLARSHIP

Rev. Marie Berbick, through her New York based ministry, Marie Berbick Ministries International, (MBMI) and her son, Nikolai Graham, a former headboy of Glowell Prep School, with the support of our donors, have established the MBMI/NIKOLAI GRAHAM PEP SCHOLARSHIP,  to give back to the Glowell school community.

Rev. Marie Berbick and Nikolai believe in the importance of education and want to alleviate some of the financial burdens that may hinder a student's academic pursuits.

The ministry will make available US$1000 to a Glowell Preparatory PEP student, from a SINGLE -INCOME household.

Marie Berbick Ministries International (MBMI) is a vibrant ministry, based in Queens New York. The ministry was founded by Jamaican born, US Based Pastor, Motivational Speaker, Life Coach, Author and Mentor,  Rev Marie Berbick in 2020.  With a following of over 75,000 persons from across the world, many lives have been touched by the ministry which provides spiritual, emotional, charitable and other support to persons across geographical borders.

b. NIKOLAI GRAHAM
 Nikolai Graham, is a proud alumnus of Glowel Preparatory, where he served as head boy from 2014 to 2015. Despite battling sickle cell disease, with the support of his mother Rev Marie Berbick and his Glowell family, Nikolai displayed remarkable courage and resilience, conquering his medical challenges to rank in the top 3% of Jamaica's high performing GSAT students in 2015. His extraordinary achievements earned him a feature in the Gleaner newspaper. Nikolai is now a college student residing in the USA. 

2. SCHOLARSHIP CRITERIA

1) Candidate must be from a single income household (only one parent/guardian in the household is earning an income).

2) Must score at least 85% in all PEP subjects 

3) Must submit an essay, (maximum 800 words) stating why he/she deserves the scholarship 

 

3. DEADLINE FOR SUBMITTING APLICATIONS

The deadline for submitting applications is Wednesday July 16.

 

4. HOW TO APPLY

The application form is available online. You may complete and submit the form electronically. Please contact Glowell Preparatory for further information. 

5. AWARD DATE

The scholarship winner will be announced on or before July 30, 2025.

To complete your application, please submit an essay, 600-800 words, that tells us why you deserve to be awarded this scholarship.
