• Community Noise Lab's Illegal Dumping and Foul Smells Reporting Tool!

You can report an illegal dumping site or foul smell in ANY community!
  • The Community Noise Lab at the Brown University School of Public Health is researching illegal dumping sites in communities across the United States. Please use this reporting tool to report ANY illegal dumping site or foul smell in ANY community across the United States.

In addition to reporting illegal dumping sites, starting in Mississippi, our research team is measuring air, noise, soil, and water quality at each reported site. You can view the results of our environmental measurements on our Illegal Dumping Site Data Repository!

  • Step 2: Where is this issue?

  • Alternatively, you can use your cell phone's mapping app (i.e. Google Maps) to find the latitude and longitude.

To do this, once you are at the dumping site, you can:

    STEP 1: Drop a pin.

STEP 2: Locate the latitude and the longitude (it either pops up automatically or you can right click on the pin).

In this sample screenshot, the first number (32.308549) is the latitude and the second number (-90.205599) is the longitude.
