OzAsia Festival is Australia’s leading contemporary arts and community festival framed by the cultural engagement of Australia and Asia. Recently, we've been awarded a Creative Australia Asia Pacific Arts Award, celebrating cultural exchanges and collaborative partnerships in the Asia Pacific region.
OzAsia Festival favourite, Moon Lantern Trail, is returning to Pinky Flat / Tarntanya Wama on the opening weekend of the OzAsia Festival - Thursday 24 October - Sunday 27 October.
Opportunities exist for presenting craft workshops in our workshop marquees or dance and music workshops on our flat, grassed open space. There will be no stages at Moon Lantern Trail but pop up and roving performances are absolutely possible.
OzAsia Festival's outdoor food hub featuring Asian cuisine, Lucky Dumpling Market will be returning to Elder Park, featuring stage performances and weekend workshops from Thursday 24 October to Sunday 10 November.
There are a variety of ways you can participate in this year’s OzAsia Festival including:
- Roving performances at Moon Lantern Trail
(Thursday 24 October - Sunday 27 October)
- Workshops including Martial Arts or other Cultural demonstations at Moon Lantern Trail
(Saturday 26 and Sunday 27 October)
- Stage performances at Lucky Dumpling Market
(Thursday 24 October - Sunday 10 November)
- Workshops at Lucky Dumpling Market
(Saturdays and Sundays from 31 October to 10 November)

Moon Lantern Trail and Lucky Dumpling Market are family-friendly spaces, and the OzAsia Festival programming team takes that into consideration when curating a program of cultural performances that celebrate the diversity of our local communities. Performances and workshops that include content of an overtly political nature will not be considered.
The OzAsia Festival programming team will curate the community program based on:
- Family friendly and engaging cultural performances and workshops
- Groups availability
- Technical requirements
- Logistical requirements
If you have many ideas of how you can contribute, you can add up to 3 proposals on this form. Please give us as much information as possible to assist the programming team to evaluate your offering.
