CAL PGR Buddy Scheme 2026/27

Sign up to be assigned a Buddy.
The College of Arts and Law runs a peer-to-peer support scheme for newly arrived postgraduate researchers (PGR) each year, to guide them through administrative processes and to get involved in the PGR community in the College.

While the Scheme is primarily directed at newly arrived PGRs to help them through their first 8 months at the University, it is also open to PGRs in their second year who feel like they need some continued to support navigating their research journey.

To be assigned a Buddy to help guide you on your research journey at UoB, please complete the form below. If you have any questions about the scheme contact the CAL Postgraduate Student Experience Officer, Dr. Cai Lyons (c.b.lyons@bham.ac.uk).

Dr. Lyons will match PGRs according to programme similarites, where possible. Matching will occur from September onwards.
