Practice Schedule
- Practice times are not guaranteed and are subject to be changed or cancelled last minute due to unforseen circumstances or private party bookings.
- All skaters agree to check the schedule for the most up to date practice schedule and any up coming cancellations before heading to any practice.
Club Membership Requirements
- All members must have a current USARS amateur card or pay individual drop in fee and fill out a rink waiver each practice.
- All members must fill out our club waiver and acknowledge and abide by our club rules.
- All members must own their own skates. (no rental skates will be given out during open artistic practice times)
Social Media - Photography, Videos, and Recordings
- You agree that your attendance at any practices, performances, or events and such may be photographed, filmed and/or taped and used by the Mile High Artistic Skating Club or Mile High Artistic Skating Academy for marketing purposes. You authorize the use of any image, videos or recording on any kind and you waive any compensation thereof— even if you discontinue your training with Mile High Artistic Skating Club or Mile High Artistic Skating Academy.

Privacy
- Students may not to share any coach's phone numbers or private contact information with any other person. (Exception: information that is publicly available)
- Students may not contact coaches for any other purpose outside of skating matters.
- Coaches may not share any skater's private contact information with any other students, parents, or skaters.
Open Practice Etiquette
- All skaters, family, and support system personnel must respect the building or area we are in. We must leave it better than we found it.
- All skaters, family, and support system personnel must respect any and all rink staff.
- All skaters, family, and support system personnel must be polite and courteous to all other individuals in the building.
- Skater who are in private lessons have the right of way (within reason)
- Skaters may be going any direction on the skating floor at any given time.
- Skaters must practice awareness at all times while they are anywhere inside the building, especially on the skating surface.
Private Lessons
- 30 minute blocks (25 minutes of instruction, 5 minute buffer for summary/recap)
- All private lessons are to be booked through the club director, Erin Gaber.
- 24 hour notice is required to reschedule or cancel a scheduled lesson. (medical or family emergencies, etc are exceptions)
- Expectations - Arrive on time to be properly warmed up and ready for a productive lesson.
- Late arrivals - full lesson price will be charged regardless of your arrival time, unless the proper actions were taken to assist the coach and other skaters in utilizing the practice time and coach's time respectfully.
- Skaters must have their notebooks available.
- Skaters must fill out Student Intro Form before starting private lessons with an instructor.
- Any coach or guest coach has the right to refuse service to any skater for any reason.

- Any complaints should be made through the Formal Complaint Link

Competitive Athlete Information
Competitive Routine Music
- Any/all music used for competitive routines must be approved and cut by the program director.
- Any/all music used for competitive routines is property of Mile High Artistic Skating Club/Mile High Artistic Skating Academy.
- If an athlete is no longer affiliated with Mile High Artistic Skating Club, they may request to purchase their music. The club director, Erin Gaber, reserves the right to accept/refuse the sale of music for any reason.
Competitive Costumes
- Any/all costume designs used for competition or any official practice must be approved by the program director.
- Any/all costumes used for competition must be evaluated and approved at a dress rehersal at least 2 weeks prior to competition.
Competition Entry Fees & Pro's Fees
- All athletes/parents are responsible for paying the appropriate entry fees to register for a competitive event 30 days prior to that event.
- Entry fees TBD, typically $20-$85/event
- All athletes/parents are responsible for paying the appropriate pro's fees to register for a competitive event 30 days prior to that event.
- Host: $5/event (Minimum $10, Maximun $60)
- Local: $20/event (Minimun $40, Maximum $100)
- Out of state: $50/event (Minimum $100, Maximun per $300)
- Regionals: $50/event (Minimum $100, Maximun per $300)
- Nationals: $100/event (Minimun $200, No maximun)
- International: TBD
Competitions
- All athletes/parents are responsible for purchasing an event program and knowing when they/their children are scheduled to skate.
- All athletes/patents are responsible for being ready to take the floor at least 1 hour (60 minutes) prior to the official scheduled time.
- Ready to take the floor - this means costume on, skates on, make-up done, hair done, hydration and snacks readily available, all items pertaining to the athlete's readiness are easily available in the "skater ready area," skater is properly warmed up physically and mentally (not flustered and rushing), there are no unnecessary distractions within a 60 minute window of their event, they are preparing with their coach for their event.
- All athletes/parents are responsible for knowing how the event is running the day of competition. (early, late, etc)
- All athletes/parents are responsible for having a mode of transportation to/from the hotel, airport, venue, etc. without relying on the coaching staff. The coaching staff is assisting all athletes for competition related things. Please make sure you have this piece figured out without adding stress to the coaching staff's plate.
- Competitions are about the athlete competing to the best of their ability. While we enchourage site seeing, visiting family, etc. those things do not take priority over being mentally and phyically prepared for their event/events. Athletes have been training and preparing for competition all year, they deserve a chance to put their best foot forward without unnecessary distractions or stress.
- No athlete may leave the venue in a skating costume without having their bottom covered.
