  • The sense of community experienced as a result of having been part of Suas and STAND is always highlighted to us by past participants and volunteers. Many ask us to continue being involved. We feel there is an opportunity to explore how to connect the alumni from the past 22 years with each other and to STAND – and with this survey we want to develop a foundation to creating an alumni community strategy.

    We would be very grateful if you can respond to our survey to help us explore the potential for our role in creating opportunities for our alumni to come together as a vibrant international community that stays engaged and supports each other.

    Below we are outlining some opportunities to contribute to our organisation, for you to consider.

    Please remember that this is an anonymous survey. You are making no commitment by ticking any box, but we are trying to get a better idea of what alumni might be interested in contributing.

  • 1. Contribute my personal and /or career development with current participants through mentoring (pro bono)
  • 2. Contributing my skills as part of our programmes (for example facilitating workshops on themes such as communication, project management, campaigning, etc.)(pro bono)
  • 3. Contributing to our organisational development (for example by becoming a board member, contributing legal or fundraising expertise, connecting us to CSR opportunities in your company, etc.)
  • 4. Write articles about local and global justice issues as part of the STAND News programme

  • In the following question we are asking you if you were able and interested in contributing financially to our programmes if we approached you as an alumni in future. Please be reminded that this is anonymous and no commitment to contributing.

  • 5. Sponsor a current programme participant or programme. One of our core values is equity and we recognise that different groups experience different barriers to participate. To create equitable opportunities for participation we offer low course fees or scholarships for those that need it. To be able to offer this, we need co-funding.
