Please answer as many questions as you can. I would suggest you use a word processor such as 'Word' first to type your answers, then copy and paste them into the form, just in case, for any reason, the form crashes. Take your time to think about your answers. Discuss what you would like to write, and give as much detail as possible. The more you give and share, the more meaningful and personal your ceremony script will be. Not everything may be mentioned, so if there is a particular story or sentimental occasion you would like to include, please say so within your answer. Likewise, if you have a story you'd love to share but do not wish to be mentioned or written in a way that could potentially cause embarrassment, please do let me know. You can add to and/or edit your answers at any time during the writing process. You may receive several drafts until you are happy with your ceremony script. Further edits may not be possible after two weeks before your ceremony date. Have fun, reminiscing and writing about your journey together. Get in touch with your feelings and emotions, say it as it is, and don't hold back.

Tell the story of how you first met each other.

Before you met, what would you say your life was like, what kind of things did you do to pass time and enjoy yourself?

What would you say has changed now you are together? Would you say you now do less of something or perhaps now do more of something for example?

Who 'made the first move' and instigated the beginning of your relationship? What kind of things did you do to win your partner over?

At what point did you realise that you had strong feelings for each other and maybe are in love?

Were either of you cautious about having a relationship, either due to past experiences perhaps or initial opinions or first impressions, or maybe religious or cultural beliefs.

How long have you been together, and how would you describe the start of your relationship? You might say something like, it was difficult at first due to outside opinion(s) or influences, or perhaps, you were completely head over heals and couldn't believe you were with each other.

Which of you introduced your new love to your friends and / or family first? What reaction did they get?

What really attracted you to each other, and likewise, what really attracts you about your partner?

What would you say is your partners endearing characteristics?

Tell me about an event or situation that was really funny? This could be something that happened during the early start of your relationship, or perhaps, something that happened whilst on holiday or at home, that you both really laughed about.

Now tell me about something you find really funny about your partner, or, something that happened to your partner that only you found funny, which made it all the more funny.

What inspires you about your partner and what do you admire about them?

Is there anything you would 'change' about your partner if you could? This is a tricky one, so think along the lines of perhaps they are a people pleaser, and often you feel that people take them for granted, or use them, and this is difficult for you to see.

Have you ever felt really proud of your partner for achieving something? Or have you both achieved or done something that you are proud of.

What do you like to do together? How do you like to relax? Do you share the same interests and hobbies for example?

Have you learnt anything from, or since, being together? This might be something like another language if your partner is from another country or can speak another language, or you've learned to be less or more of something, with help and support from your partner.

How do you deal with any conflict or differences of opinion, that may sometimes test your resolve and the strength of your relationship?

What keeps your love for each other and your relationship strong?

Tell the story of the proposal, who proposed to who, where was it, how did it go, describe your feelings and emotions, what planning and preparation went into the big event?

Do you have any goals or ambitions you would like to achieve together? What do you most look forward to in your future together?

Do you have any children together or from a previous relationship?

What does marriage / being married, mean to you?

What would you say are the foundations of a successful and loving marriage?

Do you have any cultural or spiritual beliefs you would like to include or be the main theme / focus of your ceremony?

How do you envisage your ceremony to be? for example, relaxed, traditional, funny, serious, religious, no religion?

Have you thought about how long you would like your ceremony to be? Would you like to include any symbolic ceremonies, such as, a Handfasting Ceremony or a Sand Pouring Ceremony? Please ask for more information if you are unsure, and/or search for symbolic wedding ceremonies in Google.

Would you like to write your own vows to each other? And / or would you like any advice or help?
