Player's Information

All player information is required. VCF offers VIRGINIANS these slightly reduced 2025 US Chess membership rates as a service to our members and patrons. It is an actual US Chess membership.
- For school-age players (a "Youth" membership), we offer 1-year memberships for $18, a savings of $2 off the normal $20 price if you buy the membership directly from the US Chess Federation. We can do this because we purchase youth memberships in bulk from US Chess at $18 each. We make no profit on this; in fact, US Chess policy prohibits us from doing that. The player must be under the age of 19 years old when this membership would EXPIRE.
- For other 1-year membership categories (Senior, Adult, and Young Adult) we offer small discounts off of the normal membership fee. We do this by giving back to you a portion of the $3 reimbursement that US Chess gives to every affiliate (like VCF) who signs up someone for a new or renewed membership.
Note: The Senior, Adult and Young Adult membership options can also choose to purchase "Chess Life" magazine as part of the membership. Chess Life is the US Chess Federation's flag-ship publication, it is published every month.
