Notes

Sessions will run from 14:00 - 17:00 on Wednesday afternoons. Sailors to be ready to sail for 14:15 for each session.

Important

Sailors must be registered and have paid for the series in order to take part.

Credits will not be issued for missed sessions.

Sessions may be classroom based if weather prevents sailing safely.

Clothing

Sailors will be provided with wet gear and a buoyancy aid (life jacket) if they do not have their own. 

Please ensure sailors are wearing warm clothing

Sailors will need to bring a spare pair of runners as their feet may get wet.

Please do not bring valuables with you.

Program Fees

The cost per sailor per coaching series is -

€240 for RSGYC Members

€265 for Guests of RSGYC 

Credit cannot be issued for sailors missing individual sessions. Schools may provide substitute sailors as appropriate once the Training Organisers have been advised in advance of the session.

Sailors must be signed up in advance to participate. 

The organisers reserve the right to cancel a session(s), and will issue a refund for that session. 

Club Membership

Sailors who are not a member of the participating Yacht Club will be registered as temporary members for the duration of their scheduled session(s).

Sailing Declaration (to be completed by the parent/ guardian) 

I hereby acknowledge and accept that sailing and its associated activities are by their nature ‘adventure water sports’ and that they have certain dangers associated with them. I understand that sailing and its associated activities should not be undertaken without the proper equipment in particular the proper clothing and safety equipment including but not limited to an appropriate life jacket/buoyancy aid. I further understand and accept that sailing and its associated activities are physical activities that should not be attempted by people who are not of a suitable level of fitness. I am not aware of any physical illness/injury/condition that may impact on my child’s ability to safely participate in sailing or any other associated activities. I confirm that s/he is a competent swimmer and are comfortable in the water. I understand that they participate in the course entirely at their own risk.

I hereby indemnify the Royal St. George Yacht Club, the trustees, officers, staff, and members (the Club), against any loss or damage, accident, claim, injury, or mishap arising from their use of Clubs facilities and participation in the course which shall be at their own personal risk.

I acknowledge that any boat used by my child during this course is not their property and accept that while availing of Clubs facilities including any boat detailed to them by the Clubs, they shall be responsible for the management and control of the vessel and the conduct of its crew.

I acknowledge that the Clubs accept no responsibility for personal injury, loss or damage to my person or property at any time and I confirm that I will not hold the Clubs responsible for any such injury, loss, or damage.  

Whats next? 

Upon receipt of this form we will liaise with the School or Parent Representative of the Student-Sailors on Tuesday morning, confirming sailors and numbers.
