2024 Family Camp Registration Form

Camp DeSoto welcomes families of all sorts! Moms, dads, aunts and uncles, grandparents, godparents, family friends – anyone who wants to share Camp with people they love!

Family Camp is for children school-age (in kindergarten) and older and adults between the ages of 18-80.

The weekend will begin on Friday, October 11, 2024 around 5 pm.
We will say goodbye on Sunday, October 13, 2024, around 1 pm.

The fee for Family Camp weekend is $300 per adult(18+), $200 per child. A deposit of $200 is due upon registration. The final amount is due at the start of the retreat.

Please complete a separate application for each household/family unit. If you are unsure of how to register your crew, give us a call! We'll be happy to help you out.

Cabins and Bathrooms at Camp DeSoto

DeSoto cabins are rustic, and bathrooms are located in separate bath houses in the cabin area. Each family will be assigned a cabin to themselves. There will be designated "boys" and "girls" bathrooms in every cabin area, as well as a "family" bathroom to be reserved for one family at a time while in use.

Please let us know if you have any requests regarding your cabin assignment, such as the name of another family you'd like to be near, the cabin area you'd like to stay in, or other ways we could accommodate you and your crew.

Deposit Payment

A deposit payment of $200 must be received within 14 days of submitting this form to confirm your registration. The final amount is due by September 30, 2024.

If you would like to pay by credit card, you can call Madeline in the camp office to provide your credit card information over the phone.
If you already have a card on file with Camp, we can charge the deposit amount to that card.
If you prefer to pay by check, you can mail a check to Camp DeSoto, P.O. Box 432, Mentone, AL 35984.

Terms and Conditions

I understand that the cost of Family Camp is $250.00 per adult and $150.00 per child. A deposit payment of $200.00 is due upon registration, and the remainder of the fee for each family is due by August 30, 2021. There will be no discount or refund for late arrivals or early departures.

I grant permission for Camp DeSoto and The Farm at Windy Hill to use my child's likeness and/or my likeness on the Camp website, The Farm website, Camp and Farm social media profiles, and in other promotional materials.

I understand it is the responsibility of parents/guardians to become familiar with all of the activities and programs offered by Camp DeSoto at Family Camp. I understand and acknowledge that my family's participation at Camp DeSoto and in any activity offered is completely voluntary. I further recognize that there are hazards and dangers inherent in camp events and programs, and although Camp DeSoto has taken measures to minimize the risk of injury to camp participants, it cannot guarantee that the participants, equipment, premises and/or activities will be free of hazards, accidents and/or injuries. I further recognize and have instructed my child/children in the importance of knowing and abiding by the camp's rules, regulations, and procedures for the safety of camp participants. I further acknowledge that I have fully disclosed any pre-existing physical or mental challenges. My children have permission to engage in all activities, unless otherwise noted.

I also understand that unlike summer camp sessions, no medical personnel will be on-site for Family Camp. I agree that it is my responsibility to make all decisions regarding the health and welfare of my children and myself, including securing proper treatment for any injuries or medical emergencies. I understand that any incidental charges, including medical bills for any accident, illness, or medications will be my responsibility.

I agree that any dispute between Camp DeSoto, its owners, officers, directors, employees, contractors, volunteers and me shall be governed by the substantive laws of the State of Alabama, and that any mediation, arbitration or suit initiated for me and/or on behalf of my minor child named above shall occur or be filed in DeKalb County, Alabama.
