Type Your Initials The construction work I perform will meet the Building Codes and Ordinances as adopted by the City of West Chicago.

Your Initials I I am responsible for scheduling and obtaining all required inspections. I will correct any deficiencies identified and obtain re-inspection(s) until approved. I agree to pay any additional inspection fees incurred as a result. I also understand that failure to obtain required inspections shall be subject to the penalties as prescribed by law.

Your Initials I understand that, where it is deemed necessary, the building official is authorized to enter the structure or premises at reasonable times to inspect or perform the duties imposed by Code.

Your Initials If, at any time, I decide to hire subcontractors to assist with this project in any way, I will ensure their compliance with all the requirements for contractor registration put forth by the City of West Chicago.

To better understand your project and ensure you are following all applicable building codes, we require you to upload appropriate documentation to illustrate and/or explain the work proposed for this permit, such as a scope of work, plat of survey, layout, drawings, diagrams, estimate, etc.

Please note: Supporting documentation exceeding 8 pages and/or architectural blueprints larger than 11 x 14 inches cannot be uploaded to this application.

Instead, plan to submit a printed Residential Building Permit Application along with 4 sets* of plans to the City of West Chicago Community Development Department, 475 Main Street, West Chicago, IL 60185, 8:00AM to 4:30PM, M-F.

*New Single Family Homes require 5 complete sets of building plans.
