Volunteering at the Catfé allows you to work with cats and people!
Volunteers aged 13 and under must be accompanied by an adult.
Must be a hard worker & proactive person seeking a community service opportunity
Help take care of the cats by:
- Scooping litter boxes
- Washing litter boxes & scoopers
- Sweeping, vacuuming & mopping
- Cleaning surfaces
- Refilling food & water
- Monitoring cat-customer interactions
- Socializing shy or scared kitties
Lifting up to 25 lbs. is recommended: our litter and food bags are heavy.
Although there may be time to play with the cats, volunteering = cleaning & helping out wherever needed, customers = playing with cats for an hour. Please keep this in mind; volunteering is not a free pass into the Catfé, but a way to help the cats and our human employees.
We may turn you away if we see repetetive, unacceptable behavior.
Our biggest priority is helping the cats here live great and safe lives, and volunteers largely help us achieve this. Thank you for applying!
