TERMS AND CONDITIONS

1. Time to set up and clear away must be included in booking times for all rooms. There is no opportunity to set up or clear away without paying for use of the space. There is no opportunity to store items on site before or after the room hire.

2. All invoices must be paid by the due date stated to secure the room booking.

3. No less than two days’ notice must be given if a cancellation is required; otherwise a cancellation fee may apply.

4. Those who host the activity are responsible for all those who are attending, and for making sure that their behaviour and language used is appropriate. This is both important for other users and for consideration of neighbours (including the school). Sound levels must be reasonable and must not impact on our neighbours.

5. Children must be supervised at all times in the building and in the Centre grounds. Children are the responsibility of those attending the event, not Centre staff or volunteers. The Centre is a public and shared building so close attention must be given to children at all times for their safety and the Centre's overall use.

6. Smoking is prohibited in all areas of the Centre by law. This includes the front and rear garden.

7. Alcohol is strictly prohibited at the Centre and cannot be sold or consumed on site.

8. Users must clear away rubbish, sweep and mop up any spillages. Large events will incur an additional charge to cover the costs of wear and tear on the Centre.

9. All furniture must be returned to its original place after use.

10. Users must vacate the room promptly at the time stated on their booking form. Extra time will be charged.

11. Users will be charged for any damages or misuse of facilities / furniture.

Weekly / regular bookings are agreed on a sessional hire basis only. This means that on occasion the room may not be available and bookings may need to be cancelled. As much notice as possible will be given if instances arise and you will be refunded. We would like at least two weeks’ notice if you no longer require use of the premises.

The Community Centre is closed for all UK public holidays and for all election days.
