  • Through the 2026 Community Security Grants Program (CSG), the Jewish Federation of South Palm Beach County (JFSPBC) provides Community Security Grants to enhance our community’s security profile and empower organizations to contribute to communal resiliency. The CSG provides funding support for target hardening and physical security enhancements to Jewish organizations within Boca Raton, Delray Beach, and Highland Beach. This grant is for technology and equipment, not security personnel. Funding is based on the proposed project’s ability to mitigate the risk factors identified in the grant application.

Additionally, the grant program will include a Threat, Vulnerability, and Risk Assessment (TVRA) requirement, SCN core training pieces, and attendance and participation in the JFSPBC Community Security Council.

  • > Eligibility

  • Federation beneficiary agencies, synagogues, and other South Palm Beach County Jewish community organizations are eligible for the security grant funding. Agencies must have 501(c)(3) status, work within the Jewish community, and be located within Boca Raton, Delray Beach, and Highland Beach. Each applicant must include a TVRA on which its application is based and which is to be submitted with the application to the JFSBPC Community Security Program. The TVRA, which should be under three years old when submitted, helps identify and prioritize resources to address the most critical needs and ensure transparent, accountable, and effective use of grant funds to address gaps in existing capabilities. Should your organization require an assessment or an update to an existing assessment, the Federation professionals (Community Security Director or the Assistant Vice President of Security) can conduct it at no charge.

  • > Considerations

  • Any applicant not awarded the Federal Nonprofit Security Grant (NSGP) in the five years before the application will be prioritized.

  • > Process

  • Organizations interested in security grant funding will submit a funding application. These applications will be shared with the Federation Security Grant Committee. The applicant will be notified of any outstanding requirements if the application is approved. The applicant will be required to work with the Federation’s Community Security Director or the Federation’s Assistant Vice President of Security to develop the implementation process for the proposed project. Grant awardees must submit a follow-up report detailing the use of the funds to the Federation Security Committee within six months of the grant distribution.
