Badly Licked Bear is an educator, writer, artist, and mutual aid worker. They teach storytelling and tell circle-shaped stories. Their work is rooted in shifting identity, Looney Tunes, BDSM, deep observation, and their lived experience as an Indigiqueer transfemme.
They are currently engaged in a year-long project as a Culture Bearer by the Center for Cultural Power to teach Queer, Two-Spirit, and transgender Indigenous youth to make their own ribbon skirts, and they write on media and gender diversity issues. There are the most recent author of the PBS Independent Lens Map of Gender-Diverse Cultures and act as a freelance consultant and workshop leader on gender diversity and transgender issues.
