2025 NUCA Ditchdigger of the Year Award Submission

Recognition award for outstanding individual contributions to the utility construction industry.

The DITCHDIGGER OF THE YEAR Award is presented annually to a contractor member or employee of a member who has made a significant contribution on the national level to the industry and/or association.

RULES FOR SUBMISSION

1. Any NUCA member may nominate an individual for this award.
2. Please use the form below to submit the nomination. Incomplete, or non-responsive submissions will not be considered by the Awards Committee.
3. A candidate may be nominated by more than one member, but the selection of award recipients is based solely on contributions to the industry, not on the number of nominations received.
4. Only the award recipients will be honored. There will be no honorable mentions or other acknowledgement of award nominees. The identity of nominees shall remain confidential.

DEADLINE
All nominations must be received by the close of business December 15, 2025.

JUDGING & PRESENTATION
The Awards Committee will select the winners. Any members of the committee nominated for an award will be excused from judging. If no one is nominated, no one will receive the award. Award winners will be notified by January 10, 2026. The award will be presented at the 2026 National Convention in Tucson, Arizona on February 12th.
