Publish What You Pay's international secretariat is looking for a highly motivated individual with strong relationship building and advocacy skills to join our team as Senior Regional Coordinator for Francophone Africa.
The Senior Regional Coordinator, Francophone Africa builds relationships with a range of stakeholders to advance regional advocacy initiatives and to foster movement building, membership growth and diversity. S/he leads consultation with members and partners in the region to identify strategic priorities, manages sub-granting, leads regional level fund-raising and effectively manages all aspects of donor-funded projects.
Location: Burkina Faso, Cameroon, Chad, Congo, Cote d’Ivoire, DRC, Gabon, Guinea, Mali, Mauritania, Niger, Senegal or Togo
Contract: One year fixed term contract, 35 hours per week

Key Responsibilities
- Build strong, collaborative relationships with national PWYP coalition members, partners and donors in the region
- Map and coordinate members' engagement in regional advocacy and events
- Enhance the diversity, inclusiveness and advocacy capacity of coalitions in the region
- Identify fundraising opportunities and manage sub-granting to members
- Implement monitoring, evaluation and learning practices to inform strategic planning and reflection

Salary and Benefits
Salary: Adjusted for location. PWYP takes a rigorous approach to salary setting and operates a remuneration scale based on global equity. PWYP’s goal is that staff carrying out similar roles should have broadly equivalent standards of living and, since the cost of accommodation, goods and services can vary significantly in different countries, it is important to adjust for this when determining salaries. Health & Pension Benefits: PWYP operates a contributory pension scheme into which you will be auto-enrolled after three months’ of continuous service (subject to the conditions of the scheme). In addition to any contributions you make, PWYP will make contributions of 8%.
PWYP also provides three types of health benefits: (i) Life Assurance, providing you with cover in the event of death in service; (ii) Long Term disability cover, providing earnings protection in the event of serious injury leaving you unable to work; and (iii) a health cash plan, which offers contributions to certain types of health treatment.
Where PWYP is unable to provide these benefits in kind for any reason, it will provide 15% of the value of the employees gross salary in lieu, in order to ensure they are compensated at the same level as employees receiving those benefits in kind.
Annual Leave: PWYP provides all employees with 40 days leave, inclusive of public holidays, regardless of location.
Other Benefits: Other benefits include a generous parental leave policy, a contribution to eye care costs, and an ample training budget to support your development. Furthermore, PWYP offers the opportunity to take a fully paid 8 week sabbatical after 5 years continuous service.
