By enrolling in classes at Nrityanvita Kathak Academy, students agree that video recordings and/or photographs may be taken during class time. These recordings are primarily for internal educational purposes, including but not limited to: supporting practice, providing instant feedback, and aiding teacher review.
Videos may occasionally include footage of the instructor dancing, so that students can reference the technique demonstrated and refine their own movements accordingly. This is an integral part of the learning process and helps students better align their practice with classroom instruction.
These internal recordings are a standard part of the classroom experience and are not intended for public sharing unless otherwise stated.
Occasionally, selected images or short video clips may be used for promotional purposes, such as on the Academy’s website or social media platforms. These decisions are made thoughtfully and with care—only content where students appear polished and well-rehearsed will be considered for public sharing. Recordings or photos will never be posted in a way that could embarrass or misrepresent anyone. When possible, students are informed if a particular moment is likely to be shared publicly.
Personal video recording or photography during class by students or guardians is not permitted without prior permission from Anvita Sharma or her authorized instructors. Since classes are regularly recorded for internal use, additional recordings are generally unnecessary.
This agreement applies to both adult and minor students.
