1.) Do you have latex-based paint to dispose of?*

Did you know that LATEX paint manufactured after 1978 is NOT considered hazardous?

It can easily and safely be disposed of at home. Here's how:
- Remove the lids from cans that are no more than half-full and set out in a well-ventilated area away from children and pets.
- If necessary, pour paint into other clean, disposable containers to make them no more than half full.
- Add kitty litter (most effective), sawdust, concrete mix or sand to latex-based paint, to speed drying time.
- Place cans with solidified paint at the curb with your regular trash. Leave lids off so waste haulers can see contents are completely dry and therefore acceptable.
We will accept latex paint at this collection event. However, latex-based paint MAY not be accepted at future collection events.

What is Household Hazardous Waste (HHW)?

EPA considers some leftover household products that can catch fire, react, or explode under certain circumstances, or that are corrosive or toxic as household hazardous waste.

Some examples might include:
- Motor oil/automotive fluids of all kinds
- Household and automobile batteries
- Oil-based paints, stains and solvents
- Household cleaners
- Drain openers
- Pesticides/insecticides
- Compressed gas tanks (propane/oxygen/helium)
- Aerosol cans
- Batteries
- Fluorescent/CFL light bulbs
