Hello,
Lingua Café (LC) organises various activities reflecting upon the politics of the intersections between human rights, digital technologies and languages. We explore these topics while facilitating conversations across cultures, languages and levelling up innovative efforts from under-resourced communities that bring about stories of hope.
Lets build the LC Panorama to overview the state of actions focussed on the intersections between language inclusion and digital technologies. To this end, we kindly invite you to take part in this short survey (15-20 min) collecting efforts from individuals, organsations, networks or else.
This survey collects the aims, activities, languages, geographies, resources, and insights around current challenges and opportunities. These span from translations, advocacy, research, events, education, among others.
Results will be openly shared and expanded in podcasts to reflect and act upon advances and shortcomings of digital rights and language inclusion. Responses and community conversations will be published under a Creative Commons 4.0 attribution license and outreached in social media such as Mastodon, Twitter, Instagram and Anchor Podcast.
We want to **take note of all efforts**, yet especially from collective actions supporting traditionally oppressed groups. Topics for the LC Panorama language inclusion and digital rights intersect with, but are not limited to indigenous, rural, gender, age, sexual orientation, disabilities, race, ethnicity, and disciplines.
