JOB DESCIPTION
JOB TITLE: SALES COORDINATOR – ATLANTA OFFICE
REPORTS TO: REGIONAL DIRECTOR OF SALES
POSITION SUMMARY
The Sales Coordinator will work with the Regional Director of Sales and Accounts Team to assist in overall sales efforts through a wide variety of projects. This role will enhance the Destination South brand, drive exposure, and position sales leadership to effectively respond to client needs in a timely manner that reflects the forward thinking and solution generating core of our culture. This is a dynamic role for an individual who thrives on new challenges, deadlines, and multi-tasking in a fun and fast-paced work environment.

- Extra points: a love for Atlanta/ hospitality background/ CRM familiarity
RESPONSIBILITIES - SALES SUPPORT
- Assist with hotel gifting initiatives (“drops”) – ideation, sourcing, budgeting, design, fulfilment, organization, and prep
- Assist with strategic team outings and entertainment – ideation, sourcing, budgeting, design, digital materials, organization, setup, execution, tear-down, and follow up strategies
- Assist with site visits – calling vendors, scheduling, site companions and agendas, creative enhancements, and follow up strategies
- Assist with DMC network database – send leads through the network, as assigned by the team, following up on sent leads and maintaining records
- Assist with administrative tasks such as entering program information into CRM (ECS), Dropbox, lead-sheets and time management software (Harvest), contract creation, etc.
- Stay abreast of what’s “hot” in DSME destinations and throughout the industry, i.e., new restaurants, venues, hotels, technologies, etc.
- Assist with resources for hotel partners
- Assist with creation and development of client and hotel sales presentations
- Assist in the development and fulfillment of sales digital and printed materials, promotional items, gifts, collateral etc. (table signs, save-the-dates, stickers, invitations, rack cards, post cards, thank you notes, etc.)
- Assist with tradeshow preparation and follow-up
- Assist with management of sponsored events (sourcing, budgeting, enhancements and follow-up)
- Management of client gifting + sales “gift closet”
- Assist with event photography coordination, folder management and watermarking
- Participate in local industry organizations and events to help with company visibility, generation of leads, and development of relationships.
- Positively and professionally communicate message and image of Destination South
EDUCATION AND QUALIFICATIONS
- Experience working in hospitality or similar industry
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite of products
- Bachelor’s degree in hospitality, sales, marketing, communications, or relevant work experience preferred
