    Business Agreement
  • Thank you for your willingness to support our students and provide work-based learning opportunities for Way of Jesus Academy. The partnership between school and workplace serves a vital role in guiding the next generation of young leaders in the exploration of career options and the discovery of their talents and skills. Please complete the Business Information Section below:

  • Business Information

  • Semester 1: First week in September through the 3rd week in December.

    Semester 2: 2nd week in January through the 3rd week in May.

    A complete schedule will be sent out once your business partnership is setup.

  • Business Responsibilities:

    Documentation and MyPlanPA Internship Site will be provided by email.
  • Required Clearances

    According to PA law, we are required to have internship supervisor's PA Clearances on file to participate in the internship program. If you already have these on file, please just email mrweaver@wayofjesusacademy.org with them attached. People often have them if they have volunteered somewhere or are involved in a church. If you do not have them, the links and detailed instructions will be emailed to you. - It takes less than 30 minutes and requires making an account. Clearances are good for 5 years.

  • Absences/Concerns

    REPORT ABSENCES - Please report the student absence to the school on the day it occurs. You may email mrweaver@wayofjesusacademy.org or call us at 717-715-0099 option 2.


    SNOW DAYS -If there is a snow day during the school year that causes Way of Jesus Academy to be delayed or canceled, you will receive an email indicating this change. If we are on a delay, the students may report to their internship on a delay. If the school is canceled for the day, students should not be expected to report to the internship. Mentors must contact their students to coordinate the expectations for this day.


    -SITE VISITS -A site visit will be scheduled with you and the student who is serving your organization. 

  • Listed below are the student responsibilities:

    • Complete, sign and submit all internship documents through MyPlanPA by deadlines
    • Student understands that this is an unpaid, educational internship
    • Upon successful completion of the program, the student will fulfill required credit for graduation.
    • Attend internship every assigned (day to be determined). Dates will be sent out.
    • Communicate absence(s) with the business and school prior to or on the missed day.

    Graded Assignments for the student:

    • Plan and lead 1 Site visit from a member of WOJA faculty/staff each semester
    • Present a final project for peers and faculty each semester of internship
    • Maintain accurate time logs and each Friday to be approved by the internship supervisor
    • The student will receive graded assignments, as in all other classes, throughout the internship semester
