The supervisors will provide clinical supervision of cases carried out by the supervisee, involving case management, administrative duties, program development, individual psychotherapy and counseling, couple and family therapy and counseling, and group therapy and counseling.
The agency will retain administrative responsibility, decision-making, and liability for all cases. The outside supervisors will maintain the right to refuse to supervise cases outside their competence or when a conflict of interest may arise.
The frequency of supervision will be two hours once a month unless otherwise scheduled. The supervisor charges $50.00 per hour for group supervision, and spaces are limited.
If the supervisee cannot attend a session, we ask that they still pay for their place in the group. Except in some circumstances, if this is not followed, the supervisee’s place in the group will not be held.
The supervision process will involve identifying and exploring professional and personal goals related to work situations. From time to time, it will be necessary to determine if these goals are being met and, if not, what the obstacles might be. If the supervisee finds it helpful to keep notes of concerns to bring to supervision and the content of supervision sessions, then they are free to do so.
The supervisors and supervisees regularly agree to provide mutual feedback about the quality of work each provides.
Agency supervisors will have access to the clinical supervisors’ names and telephone numbers to consult should the need arise.
The supervisors agree to maintain the boundaries of confidentiality regarding clients’ information about those established by the federal, state, and county guidelines. Additionally, the supervisees will agree to maintain confidentiality within the group. What is said in the group stays within the group.
Any necessary medical consultation must be sought separately from the clinical supervision and paid for by the supervisee when the supervisors deem it necessary. Each agrees to inform the other of any complaints or actions made against them so that both parties may be fully informed of concerns within the community about the quality of their work.
Both parties agree to abide by the Rules and Regulations of the Colorado Grievance Board and the Board of Social Work Examiners, as well as the professional organizations' Ethics and Practice Standard Statements. All will maintain the highest standards of practice and ethical conduct.
Any party can terminate this agreement for any reason, provided there is adequate lead time to ensure the protection of the client.
