PLEASE NOTE: Although you will be climbing in an artificial bouldering environment, the risks involved are no less serious than when climbing outside at a crag or mountain.
THE SOFT FLOORING/MATTING DOES NOT GUARANTEE YOUR SAFETY.
Uncontrolled falls are likely to result in injuries to yourself or others. Climbing beyond your capabilities on any wall is likely to result in a fall. Any fall may result in an injury despite the safety systems in place to avoid it.
Do not jump down from the wall, always climb down when possible.
There is a risk that bolt-on holds may spin or break. If this happens, please immediately inform a member of staff.
Do not attempt to 'spot' someone unless given direct consent from an instructor.
The training aids are designed for use by experienced climbers and should not be used by under 18 years old, unless under guidance from an instructor.
Bouldering is a physically demanding activity and you should warm up before the session and cool down at the end, as you would for any high intensity excercise such as sprinting.
You must always follow the rules of Kent and Sussex Climbing and the climbing centre and make your own assessment of the risks whenever you climb.
